Ovulation Induction
I may recommend Ovulation Induction (OI) for patients who find it difficult to predict when they ovulate. These may be patients with irregular periods or no cycles for various reasons. There are two methods for stimulating ovulation.

These can be fertility tablets or hormonal injections. The goal is to stimulate the ovaries to produce an egg within a follicle. This is normally done by taking some medication to induce a bleed, followed by medication to stimulate egg production. We would normally monitor the response by conducting blood tests and scans, and would then advise you when it would be safe and appropriate to conceive.
