Qualifications: MBBS, BSc (Hons), PhD, MRCOG, Subspecialist Reproductive Medicine (RCOG UK), FRANZCOG

I am an experienced qualified Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and a UK trained Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine. I attended King’s College London and obtained a Molecular Biology, genetic engineering, based PhD in the field of fertility.

Following my PhD I held medical training posts at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospitals in London as well as a Senior House Officer position at King’s College Hospital in London. In addition, I undertook an extensive IVF clinical fellowship under the UK’s leading fertility specialist Professor Lord Winston at Hammersmith Hospital. I undertook most of my training in Cambridge and was the first British trained doctor to complete my entire UK RCOG Reproductive Medicine Subspecialty training at Monash University and Monash Hospital in Melbourne.

Currently I hold a public consultant post at Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne and a Senior Lecturer post at the Faculty of Medicine at Monash University.

I am highly experienced in managing complex and difficult fertility issues in both males and female patients and often treat patients who have been given poor prognosis or labelled as “poor responders”. I am often sought to offer my expertise to patients from all over Australia, Asia and beyond. My main fertility interests are broad ranging and in my clinical practice I am able to address any areas of concern. These include fertility  preservation, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, anovulation, and recurrent pregnancy loss, just to name a few.  I will also help treat all causes of male factor infertility.

Alongside being a Fertility Specialist, I am also heavily involved in research. I have written numerous scientific papers and book chapters, and I am regularly invited to speak at national and international meetings presenting on my research and offer my expertise in improving safety and success rates for fertility patients.

Education is another one of my passions and I teach and examine Monash university medical students. I have also been involved in teaching students doing their Master of Reproductive Medicine degrees, as well as being a training program supervisor for the specialist training at Monash Health for many years. I have previously been an active member of various RANZCOG committees including the Victoria Regional Committee (VRC), having been involved in their education, teaching and fundraising endeavours.

The most important part of what I do is to ensure you feel cared for, listened to, and given the best possible chance to achieve your dream of having a family. I understand that struggling to conceive can be an extremely challenging and stressful time. As your doctor, I will dedicate the time to get to know you, ensuring you understand what your diagnosis means to you and will empower you to make fully informed decisions regarding your treatment.
